BASKETBALL AT THE Y
Basketball at the YMCA brings individuals of all ages to the court for friendly competition and fitness. Basketball at the Y has historic roots with the sport itself originating at a YMCA in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1891. Today, we continue to foster a sense of community through basketball at the Y, promoting teamwork, skill development, and a healthy lifestyle. Whether you’re a seasoned player or a beginner, the YMCA provides a welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy the game.
Basketball Playing Divisions
Youth Basketball is offered seasonally and is offered during Winter at the Clinton Family YMCA. Please check back for information about the upcoming season.
- Basics: Ages 5-6
- Mini-Mite: Ages 7-8
- Jr. Mite: Ages 9-10
- Mite: Ages 11-12
Volunteer Coaching Opportunities
Our Coaches make YMCA youth sports possible and create a lifelong impact on children by encouraging participation and emphasizing sportsmanship and strong character while they are learning basic sport skills. when you become a volunteer, the Y will introduce you to coaching and provide specific resources to the sport you coach.
